The setting is sterling silver and is 27mm tall by 17mm wide. The glass stone is set in the 'east - sunrise position'. The integral bail has been decorated with stamped circles and hammered with a brushed finish. The bail is not soldered at the back but is secure on the necklace. I don't often decide to do seed bead embroidered pieces but this focal inspired me. The piece is embroidered on a stiff material and then attached around a silverplated cuff blank. There is no clasp and it is a slightly loose fit but not dangerously so for my 7 and a bit inch wrist. I find these most effective to wear over sleaves. The bead itself is about 3/4 inch at its widest and just over 1/2 inch at its narrowest and roughly 1/2 inch across.
